Charles Debonneuil

Charles Debonneuil is Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of the Lazada Group.

As the CMO, Charles oversees the planning, development and execution of Lazada’s marketing, advertising and communications activities in Southeast Asia – Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. He is responsible for promoting the Lazada brand to further grow the platform's customer base, as well as helping brands leverage Lazada’s marketing platform to connect with digital consumers in an impactful way.

Charles has been with Lazada since 2012, joining the company as co-founder of Lazada Vietnam. He moved to Thailand in 2013 and joined the marketing function as an Executive Vice-President at the end of 2013. Charles began his career with Bain & Company in France and Brazil.

Charles graduated with a Masters in Management from Hautes Etudes Commerciales de Paris, HEC Paris.

Ashish Kanchan

Ashish has over 18 years of consulting experience and has worked at some of the leading organisations during this time. He started his career with Arthur Andersen and IMRB International. He has a keen interest in consumer behavior and markets and is a passionate researcher. Having lived in a few countries, he is culturally sensitive and has managed large multi-country projects across various business sectors.

He moved to Vietnam in 2003 when he started working for TNS. He has been involved in several projects that have been conducted across locations in Vietnam including rural, while some even covered locations in Cambodia, Laos and Myanmar. Ashish has been living in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for over 10 years and has seen the development and growth of this country on a daily basis and is an optimist about the growth opportunities Vietnam has to offer.

Ashish has participated in projects that have been conducted to understand product penetration, product preference, consumer lifestyle and needs, consumer decision making criteria and the role of media. Over the years he has demonstrated his understanding of the Vietnamese consumer, providing insights to leading organizations on the current status, aspirations of the urban and rural Vietnamese –youth, adults and women in particular.

He actively works with clients across sectors – FMCG, Automotive, Healthcare, Banking and Finance. His support and guidance in project timeline from design to report and analysis is key roles.

Ashish completed his Master education at Monash University, Australia in 1999, he used to be Research Director, Deputy Managing Director and now is Managing Director of TNS Vietnam and is a frequent speaker at various industry events hosted by EuroCham & AmCham as well as marketing roundtables.

Denise Thi

Denise Thi was 24 years old when she founded Emerald Consulting in 2009, which quickly climbed to Top 3 Best Consulting Agency within 5 years since establishment. Emerald merged with Dentsu Aegis Network since 2015 and officially became Isobar Vietnam from April 2016.

Isobar was voted the Leaders quadrant in its “Magic Quadrant for Global Digital Marketing Agencies” for the third consecutive time by Gartner, Inc, with criteria that represent the “ability to execute” and “completeness of vision”. Isobar Vietnam is now working in digital marketing strategy consulting, customer relationship management, marketing campaign operations aimed to generate potential customers and creative digital marketing campaigns for local and global clients.

Denise has been listed in the first 30U30 list by Forbes Vietnam in 2015. In 2016 she has been awarded as the Best Leader by the Young Woman Achiever Awards of HerWorld magazine in Vietnam. Furthermore, she is the first Vietnamese woman to be awarded by CampaignAsia in the list of 40 Women to Watch in APAC.

Sandipan Roy

Ever since he discovered that he wasn't good enough to either break into Bollywood or the Indian cricket team, he has gone on to pursue his passion for developing big business transformational ideas.

He is currently the APAC head of strategy for Isobar, overseeing strategy development for regional businesses as well as 14 offices. He has developed Isobar’s first business transformation strategy framework and is leading a global initiative in developing Isobar’s first consumer study in scoring businesses on disruption and transformation. He also works closely with the leadership team to shape the agency’s vision. He is a member of the global creative council.

Prior to Isobar, he has been very fortunate to have held senior strategy and P&L leadership roles in Y&R/Wunderman, OgilvyOne and DDB/RAPP. These experiences have enabled him to incubate and develop disruptive strategy solutions that sit at the intersection of humanity, technology and creativity. He has played a leading role with a range of global, regional and local clients such as Citibank, Intel, McDonalds, Chevron Texaco, P&G, Kellogg’s, Land Rover, Samsung, Unilever, American Express and Singapore Tourism Board.

He is a judge in several award shows and loves speaking, training and mentoring young professionals.

Thong Pham

He is responsible for the company's brand, communications and corporate responsibility strategies, sales enablement, and marketing’s strategic impact on business.

He earned a bachelor of Business Management from University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City. He began his career at The Nielsen Company. After that, he had spent three years in Branding position at big companies in FMCG as: Vinamilk and P&G.

In 2012 till now, he started a start-up of Furniture Ecommerce Ahometo.com as co-founder, invested by 5desire Incubator. His passion for this job to be expressed as “My job here is to create some jobs and joy”.

In March 2015, he joined Lazada, with a dedication and enthusiasm, he was on duty various roles as Head of Campaign, PR and Branding and Retail Partnership and Head of Online Marketing. It was an opportunity for him to show his management ability as well as his strong expertise. By experienced and gained good insights in various roles in Marketing Department, since June 2016 till now, he has held the Chief Marketing Officer role, becoming the person who plays an extremely important role in developing Lazada’s image, positioning Lazada’s brand and enhancing Lazada’s reputation as a trustworthy online shopping platform to Vietnam consumer.
